Sautéed Green Beans with Sliced Almonds

Recipe by yours truly 

MAKES 4-6 SERVINGS

Cook Time: 30 min

 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

  • 1 tbs grass-fed butter

  • 1 clove of garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

  • 2 tbs slivered almonds

  • sea salt, to taste

  • freshly ground pepper, to taste

 

Instructions

  1. Bring a 6-7 quart pot of water to boil. Add the green beans and cook until bright green and slightly crisp to the touch, approximately 2 minutes. Drain beans and set to the side. 
  2. Heat a skillet to medium heat and melt the butter. Add the garlic and lemon. Cook until fragrant. Add the green beans and cook until beans are to desired softness, toss occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 
  3. Transfer to a serving platter and top with slivered almonds. Enjoy!
